Some Good Things, They Never Will Stand a Chance
Hey everyone. I’m going to take some time off to re-evaluate the direction of this project. From the emails, to the likes, to the re-blogs, to the followers, there was more interest than I expected, but that never converted to actually moving cards. I think it’s a product of what baseball cards have become now, and I don’t mean that in the grumpy fartass way most people in the card industry do. Even to this generation of analog-aware young adults, sports cards are fun to look at and incite nostalgia, but actually owning a card does little more than looking at a scan online. The market for sports cards is in a different place.
As for now, the blog will remain up and the print shop open, but auctions won’t continue. If you are interested in buying a card that was posted, email me at timmoore2@gmail.com. I’m thinking about starting a new tumblr for a couple things I want to put together. We’re expecting a baby boy in March and I’m going to go for a complete set of 2012 Topps Baseball for him. I’m also working on owning every Don MacLean card ever made. I’ll keep you posted on those.
Finally, thank you to everyone who followed this project. It was short-lived, but it was worth every ounce of work I put into it. Really, thank you.
